Greg, How Are You?

Pajamas

by on Oct.15, 2010, under The Days

There are times when I say to Greg, “Oh no you’re not!” and he replies, “Oh yes I am!” That was this morning when Greg presented himself ready to go to the doctors in his PJ’s. Such a quirky guy our Greg. I guess “cumf” was on the menu today, and staying warm on these foggy mornings required pajamas to fill the bill.

Shades of last years Prednisone experiences of manic Greg are poking their heads through the sand: not sleeping and thousands of ideas spinning around. Those of you who experienced Greg like this last year know what I am talking about. No Prednisone has been prescribed though so who- knows-what is causing this manic frame of action and disposition. It is better than depression, for sure.

It seems his blood count is heading down right now (we thought it bottomed and was going up), but a talk with our Nurse Zoe from Stanford today reassured us that his blood counts that went from .5 to .2  is what is expected. They should bottom out at .1 and then head up, up, up.  Then, at a certain number the doctors call us and we hit the 101 North to Stanford for the stem cell milking. Not knowing exactly when we go adds a certain challenge to juggling my work schedule.
